"Sasha, there is one more business situation I'd like to discuss with you."

"There's more?" Sasha asked taking a sip of her champagne. She was feeling the effects of the champagne and hoped she didn't appear drunk to Brian.

"Well, you've done so much for me and the kids already that I'm not even sure it is fair to ask you this."

"What's on your mind Bri?"

"Well, its kind of complicated." He sighed pushing his plate away from him. He turned toward Sasha. "Originally, Leighanne was supposed to come here and stay with the kids while I am in Europe for the 2 weeks in May. She called last week and told me the schedule on her current project has been extended by 3 weeks which means she won't be free until after I get back from Europe."

"So she won't be able to come and stay with the kids." Sasha said biting her lip and nodding her head. She had a feeling she knew where this conversation was headed and it made her uneasy.

Brian continued. "I don't want to take Tyler and Hannah out of school for 2 weeks and then have to put them back in for the final 3 weeks of school." He looked at Sasha before finishing his proposal. "I thought about asking Sam if they could stay with her for the 2 weeks but she has the new baby and her kids go to a different school, so that would be inconvenient for her."

"I didn't know Sam & Howie had their baby. What did they have?"

"Sorry Sasha! I thought I told you! They had a little boy 2 weeks ago. His name is Sean. Brendan is very excited to have a little brother from what I hear." He laughed softly. "Tyler asked me if there was any way Leighanne I could get back together and give him a little brother and THEN get divorced!"

Sasha laughed. "That's cute!"

"I let him down as gently as possible." Brian stated shaking his head. "So, anyway, Kristin lives clear across town and their kids go to a different school so I don't want to ask her to watch the kids for the same reasons as Sam." He took a drink of his champagne. "There is not enough time to interview and hire a nanny for them so, I was wondering if you would mind staying with the kids while I'm gone?"

Sasha took a deep breath and let it out slowly. "I don't know Brian. I have never been in charge of kids or even animals for more than a couple of days. I can't even keep a fish alive. Are you sure you trust me with your kids?"
