Brian nodded slowly. He looked at his hands. "I guess I'm not a very good actor!" He chuckled.

"I could tell by the look on your face you weren't asking about a random conversation you had overheard." She patted his back. "You're just like Howard! You couldn't lie to save yourself!" She giggled. "I can always tell when he is trying to hide something from me. His face gives him away every time!" She paused. "So, what happened? How did you find out about Sasha?"

"Did you know Sasha is an SI?"

Samantha shook her head. "No. I didn't mean to imply I had any idea of Sasha's condition. I have to admit I'm not that surprised though."

"Why do you say that?" Brian asked wrinkling his brow.

"I don't know Sasha very well but the few times I have been around her, she has struck me as someone who is very insecure and easily subjugated to anyone who can dominate her. She doesn't make eye contact very often. She is overly eager to please. Thinking she has disappointed anyone, sends her into a panic mode." Sam smiled. "She reminds me a little of myself before I met Howard." She shrugged. "I figured somewhere along the way, Sasha had been abused or possibly witnessed something traumatic and it had a lasting effect on her."

Brian shook his head. "You're right Sam. I never put it all together but you're right. You just described Sasha perfectly." He took a deep breath and let it out slowly. "I've never considered her to be subjugated to me but she rarely says 'no' to anything I ask her to do. She even agreed to…" Brian felt a small feeling of panic in the pit of his stomach."

"Agreed to what Brian?"
