Behind Closed Doors

Chapter 74

Brian decided to give out as little information as possible in case Kelli was protecting whoever had hurt Sasha. "A friend mentioned something about Sasha's demeanor. She thought maybe Sasha had been abused at some point in her life."

"No offense but your friend is way off Brian!" Kelli said shaking her head. "Sasha had an ideal childhood. Being the baby of the family definitely had its advantages! She was her daddy's little princess. There is nothing he wouldn't have done for her. Our brother Eric was the same way. He was always fiercely protective of Sasha. No one dared to mess with her or they would wind up facing Eric! My mom was a room mother every year she was in elementary school. She took dance classes, swimming lessons and was a Girl Scout. Anything Sasha wanted, Sasha got." Kelli chuckled. "I don't mean she was spoiled. She just had it easier than the rest of us since she came along so much later."

Kelli's statements struck Brian as odd. Sasha had said she was an accident and her parents never wanted her. Kelli made it sound like not only did their parents want Sasha, they adored her. 'Why would Sasha say her parents wanted to put her up for adoption when the obviously loved her so much?' Brian wondered. "So you're parents didn't mind that Sasha wasn't exactly planned?"

Kelli laughed again. "I was only 8 when Sasha was born. I do remember relatives joking with my parents about Sasha's conception. I didn't get the jokes at the time but I still remember them. Sasha was an accident but she was a welcome accident." Kelli wrinkled her brow. "What's going on with you and Sasha Brian? Is there something you should be telling her big sister?" She smiled.

"I am grateful to Sasha for everything she has done for me lately. She said something once about being an accident and I guess I just interpreted her statement the wrong way." He replied. "Can I ask you one more question Kelli?"

"Sure! Why not?"

"Was Sasha ever raped?"
