Chapter 76

"I don't know if Sasha has ever mentioned it but we had another brother, Danny, who was killed in an accident when Sasha was about 5. For months everyone told her 'You need to be a good girl and not upset your parents'. Unfortunately, I think that stuck with her for life. To this day she will go out of her way to make sure everyone is happy and no one is angry at her."

"Sasha mentioned she had a brother who died." Brian replied, nodding his head. "What you said makes sense. Events in early life can dramatically affect kids and their parents may not even realize it at the time. I'm still a little worried about how my kids will handle my divorce, even though I have had them to counselors."

"I'm sure they will be fine Brian. It sounds like you have been watching for signs of trouble."

Brian nodded. "Thanks for filling in Kelli and for filling me in. You don't have to stick around. I'm sure Sasha will be here soon."

"OK." She replied taking her purse out of the desk. "I'll see you later Brian."

"Take care Kelli!" Brian called as she opened the door to leave. He sat down in the floor with Bailey. He picked up one of her blocks and tossed it into the air, catching it and repeating the process. "Well, baby girl. I think we are back to square one with Miss Sasha. It doesn't sound like she was abused or raped which blows both of my theories." He sighed. "I wonder if her brother's death had that much of an effect on her?" Bailey handed him a book and crawled into his lap. "You think we should read this book?" The little girl nodded. Brian opened the book and started to read. "Elmo lives in a house with a…"
