Chapter 95
"I think I'll have the pasta with lobster and shrimp." Kelli told the waiter. She giggled as she watched Sasha scrunch up her nose. "I'm sure there is something with chicken on the menu Sasha!"
Sasha laughed. "I'll starve if there isn't!"
"You really should expand your tastes Sasha." Eric commented. "There is more to life than chicken."
"Chicken is a far more healthy choice than that slab of red meat you just ordered!" Sasha retorted.
Eric shot her a look that told her he didn't appreciate her comment. "She'll have the pasta with clam sauce and a shrimp cocktail." He told the waiter. "Its time you learned to eat something that doesn't have feathers." He said glaring at her.
"I'm not going to be responsible for cleaning up after she pukes on you if you try to force her to eat that!" Max stated. He looked at Sasha. "Order whatever you want Sasha."
"Thank you." She didn't need pasta with clam sauce to make her throw up. She was already nauseous. She stared at the menu in front of her. "May I please have the chicken tortellini?" She lowered her menu. "Do you have a children's portion by any chance?"
"I thought you said you are starving Sasha?" Eric commented.
"No. I said she was starving!" Max laughed. "The portions here are large. Even I have trouble finishing them."
Sasha wasn't quite sure why Max was defending her but she made a mental note to thank him as soon as possible. She reached for her water glass and took a big drink. 'Maybe tonight won't be as bad as I anticipated.' She silently tried to reassure herself. One look across the table at Eric staring daggers at her said otherwise.
