Orlando & Tampa, FL
December, 1999

These are going to be the shortest reviews you have probably ever seen! Somewhere, over the past 3 years, I have misplaced the reviews I originally wrote. I have no idea what I did with them! They are probably on my old computer, which I gave to my sister and which doesn't work at this time! There are no pictures either because my camera sucked! LOL!

In December of 1999, I was invited to Orlando, along with 9 or so other people from a message board, by Bob McLean. Yes, I am talking about Alex's dad! Don't flame me on this one! I've read the magazine articles. You've read the magazine articles. We've all seen how events can get blown out of proportion by the media. Great example, Nick's recent arrest... There are 2 sides to every story and that is all I am going to say! :) In my opinion, Bob and his wife are 2 of the NICEST people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. They went out of their way to make sure a group of people they had never met, had an EXCELLENT time on their vacations!

The first show we attended was in Orlando. It was the basic "Into the Millennium" show, much like the Tacoma show I reviewed. The incidents I remember most are: (1) It was really HOT! I had come from snow and it was like 80° there! (2) One of the ladies in the group brought her daughters with her. After the show, one of the girls asked Bob to autograph her program! It was really sweet and made Bob really proud! (3) After the show, my friend & I were trying to find our way back to our car. If you have ever been to the Orlando Arena, then you know what the parking is like. Plus, we were from out of town and didn't know where we were in the first place! Circles good...straight lines BAAAD! We wound up walking around the outside of the arena. When we got about half way around, I looked up at the building and I was like "That's Dennis over there!" We backtracked to find an entrance to where he was. We told him what a great show they had put on that night and after talking to him for a few minutes, we asked if we could take a picture of he & Guido (he was holding Guido at the time.) He said only if we would get in the picture with him! LOL! So I handed my camera to-get this CLAUDIA (a.k.a. Howard's ex-girlfriend) and she took the picture of us. It turned out HIDEOUS of all 3 of us but it is a memory!

The next show I went to was in Tampa. I got my tickets day of show and wound up with 6th row floor! It was AWESOME! It was definitely a night I will never forget … but that had nothing to do with the concert itself, so I will leave that part out! I have one very distinct memory from the concert. I had no idea what kind of seat I was going to get so I brought my binoculars just in case I wound up in nosebleed. I still used the binoculars even though I was in the 6th row! Brian found this hysterical! Remember when they sat on the stools and the stage rotated while they did the slower songs? Well, the first time around, Brian saw me with the binoculars and laughed. The next time around he poked Howard to get him to look at me and then put his hands up to his eyes like HE was using binoculars! That was my first Brian encounter! If that counts as an encounter...

The last show I saw in Tampa was supposed to be the last show of the tour. Due to the hurricane at the beginning of the tour, Fort Lauderdale wound up being the last show though. Tampa was still cool though because EVERYONE had their families there! We saw Leighanne, Kristin, Mandy, Amanda, Jane, Johnny, Pollyanna and I don't even remember who else! I have 2 major memories from this show. First of all, I went with a HUGE Kevin fan and we just happened to be in the section where Kevin did most of his performing and his flying. We were level with the stage so we had a great view! If we had been about a foot taller when Kevin flew over, we could have touched him! :) My other memory is of the guys sitting next to me. One of them was as big a Kevin fan as my friend was and his comments were similar too… and the other was a Brian fan! I didn't get to talk to them very much because they came late but I remember them being really nice guys!

Measly review I know! Maybe someday I will find the real ones I wrote 3 years ago! :(
