Chapter 33
Samantha laughed. "Have you ever done this before?"
"What makes you think I haven't?"
"You seem very nervous and I can tell you are trying to figure out how to keep from getting water all over the floor."
Howie grinned a lopsided grin. "So now you know I don't plan far enough ahead to work out all of the details. What do you propose I do?"
Samantha spun back around and rested her elbows on the edge of the tub. "Well...when I wash my nieces' hair, I have them sit facing the faucets so the water stays in the tub. You have to wash from an angle but it works."
"I have another idea. Go ahead and face the faucets." Howie got hand towel from under the sink. He folded it over and placed it behind Samantha. He stood up and took off his boxers, eliciting a big grin from Samantha. He climbed in behind her and knelt down, resting his knees on the towel. "Slide up a little bit please." Samantha slid forward, giving Howie more room to work with. "That should work." He gathered Samantha's hair into his hands. "OK, now lean your head back." Samantha leaned her head back and Howie cautiously poured the pitcher of water over her hair.
Samantha giggled as the water ran down her back. "Howard. Have I told you how much I love you today?"
Howie squeezed some shampoo out into his hand. He kissed the top of her head before replying. "Not in the last, oh half hour or so." He gathered Samantha's hair on top of her head and began working up a lather. 'This is more fun than I thought it would be!'
"I love you Howard. I am amazed at everything you do for me." She smiled "I am loving this idea of you washing my hair by the way."
"Good I am glad you like it." Howie stopped washing Samantha's hair and leaned down, placing his lips close to her ear. "You know I would do anything for you sweetie. I love you more than anything." He reached around Samantha and filled the pitcher with water. "Ready to rinse?" Samantha leaned her head back towards him. Howie slowly poured the water over her head, moving his fingers through her hair to ensure all of the soap was rinsed out. He refilled the pitcher and repeated the process. "Squeaky clean!" He declared climbed out of the tub and grabbed a comb from the counter.
Samantha stood up as well and started to step out of the tub.
"Wait! We're not finished yet!" Howie exclaimed.
