Samantha blinked as her eyes adjusted to the light of the plane. She yawned and blinked a second time. She looked around to find the intercom to answer Mateo. A smile crept on to her face as she realized she had fallen asleep in Howie's arms. "Honey, wake up." she whispered into his ear. "We are almost ready to land." She kissed him.

Howie stretched, taking a deep breath. "Already?" he asked groggily. He returned her kiss.

"Thanks Mateo." Samantha said, pushing the intercom button. She stood up and then sat back down beside Howie. Fastening her seatbelt, she turned to Howie. "Waking up in your arms is the best feeling I can think of."

"I love you sweetie. I'm sorry if I upset you earlier." He kissed her forehead. "You scared me hun. I don't want to see you hurt yourself."

"It is OK Howie. I know you were concerned about me and that you were reacting out of fear. I will be more aware of what I am doing in the future. I promise to be more careful."

Mateo's voice came over the intercom again. "Prepare for landing."

Howie reached over and took Samantha's hand in his. He gave it a squeeze, then brought it to his lips and kissed it.

Samantha smiled. "Are you ready for this weekend?"

"Ready? I'm ready, willing and eager." He smiled. "Seriously Sam. I am really looking forward to meeting your family."

Mateo appeared through the cabin door. "I hope you and Howard enjoyed the flight Miss Danner."

"Fantastic as usual Mateo. Thank you for flying us."

"It was my pleasure." He hesitated. "I do have one favor to ask if I may."

"What is it Mateo?" Samantha asked.

The pilot looked at Howie. "Would it be too much of an imposition to ask you to sign an autograph for my daughter?"

"Not a problem at all!" Howie answered.

Mateo fished a pen and a piece of paper from his pocket and handed them to Howie.

"What is your daughter's name?"

"Ariana." Mateo replied.

Howie signed the paper and handed it back to the pilot.

"Thank you very much. Ariana is going to be thrilled!"

"You are welcome Mateo. Thank you again for the smooth flight."

Samantha and Howie grabbed their bags. "Here we go." Samantha said apprehensively, as they approached the door. "Ready or not. Here we go." She mumbled.
