"Whatever you say Kyle."

"Do you think you could squeeze in a few more people?"

Samantha turned in her seat to see Christopher, Cindy, Jill and Peter standing behind Adam. "Oh my God! Christopher??" She squealed getting up and hugging her brother.

"Samantha how much have you had to drink?" Peter asked.

"Really Samantha. You act as though you haven't seen me in years." Christopher added as he and Adam found 4 more chairs and added them to the table.

"I haven't had that much to drink. I am just surprised to see you here." She looked at Jill & Cindy. "How did you finally manage to drag them to a club?"

Cindy laughed. "I guess you could say they didn't want to be shown up by their little sister's boyfriend." She winked at her husband.

"They have been nagging us for ages." Peter teased. "I guess we had to give in sometime."

Jill looked at the kids sitting across from her. "Are we going to cramp your style or harsh your gig by joining you?"

"Harsh our gig?" Adam burst out laughing. "Mom, I love you and you're cool and all but don't try the lingo. You'll only embarrass yourself."

Lighthearted chuckles spread around the table.

"Seriously Aunt Jill, I think it is kind of cool for you guys to join us." Kait commented. "Not many parents would venture out to a place their kids are willing to go to.

"Thanks Kait."

"Are Nicholas & Lauren coming?" Samantha asked.

"They are babysitting." Cindy said quickly.

Cindy's quick glance at Jill didn't go unnoticed by Samantha. "And the rest of the story is?" Samantha inquired.

"Jenna. Have you danced with Kyle tonight?" Peter half suggested, half commanded.

"We all know dad." Jenna replied. "But if you want us to disappear for a few minutes we can."

Peter shook his head.

"What's going on here?" Samantha asked uneasily.

Jill looked at Cindy who nodded her head very slightly. "Sam, Lauren is pregnant."

"What? How?" Samantha took a sip of her drink. "I mean that wasn't supposed to happen."

"I know sweetie." Jill said trying to assuage Samantha's dismay.

"How far along is she?"

"About 4 months." Christopher interjected. "No complications so far."

"Don't worry Samantha." Peter tried to reassure her. "They know what to watch out for this time."

"That isn't the point Peter. I thought Nicholas took precautions so this wouldn't happen."

"Samantha, don't worry. Lauren is going to be fine."

"Peter, are you forgetting she almost died the last time she was pregnant? Has the fact she not only lost a baby but we almost lost Lauren escaped your mind?" Samantha replied. "I will never forget it! I was there!"

"Samantha calm down!" Christopher commanded.

"Calm down?" Samantha said. "Its not your blood coursing through her veins right now!"

"Lauren's doctor is watching her very carefully this time. He knows there was a lot of internal damage. He doesn't want a repeat of what happened last time either. The minute he spots anything out of the ordinary he will hospitalize Lauren. Trust us Samantha. You are going to have a new niece or nephew in a few months and everything will be fine."

Samantha bit her lip. "OK." She replied quietly. She turned to Howie and tilted her head toward him. "Would you like to join me on the dance floor?"

Howie took her hand in his and gave it a gentle squeeze as he planted a soft kiss on her cheek. "Would I ever!" He stated as he escorted her to the dance floor.
