Chapter 79
Howie walked over to his clothes bag and reached inside. He felt around and emerged with a cream colored envelope. He removed the card from the envelope and read it. 'There could not possibly be another card so perfect for Samantha and I.' he thought fishing through his pocket for the paper containing the words Kait had translated for him. He pulled the slip of paper from his pocket and looked around the room for an ink pen. Being careful not to miss an accent mark, he copied the words Kait had written down for him onto the card. He smiled to himself as he signed his name. 'I hope Samantha doesn't expect me to speak French to her after this because I have no idea how to pronounce most of these words!' He quickly shoved the card into the envelope and sealed it as he heard Samantha turn the water off. He placed the card on her pillow and threw away the slip of paper. Sitting down in a chair facing the TV, he clicked the remote and nonchalantly pretended to be engrossed in a program when Samantha entered the room. He sucked in his breath sharply when he noticed she was barely wrapped in a towel. Her hair was piled loosely on top of her head and held in place with a clip. She looked as beautiful as she had before stepping into the shower even though she was now cleanly scrubbed without a trace of make-up on. He arose from the chair and crossed the room to her. He trailed his fingers down her cheek before kissing her lips. He took a deep breath, inhaling the intoxicating smell of Samantha's soap and shampoo. "You smell wonderful sweetheart!" He stated before kissing down her neck to her collarbone. "With your hair up like that, I can really see your bone structure Hun. You have beautiful bone structure Samantha."
Samantha blushed. "Thank you Howard." She looked deep into his eyes as she traced the outline of his jaw with her finger. "I could say the same thing about you. You have exquisite features love."
"We could stand here and compliment each other all night but unless we want to just stand here, which I know I personally do not, then I had better get into the shower!" Howie said as he placed another quick kiss on her lips. "I will make it a fast one."
"OK" Samantha smiled. "I'll be waiting." She replied raising her eyebrows at him. He smiled back at her and then disappeared into the bathroom. Samantha went over to her bag and searched around until she found the T-Shirt she wanted. She let the towel drop from her body as she pulled on the T-Shirt then reached into her bag again to find a pair of panties. 'They won't stay on long' she mused 'but I will enjoy having them taken off!' She glanced at the TV. 'I didn't realize Howie was a fan of Animal Planet.' She turned around to the bed and noticed the envelope on her pillow. She strolled over and picked it up. 'What have you done to blow me away this time Howard?' She wondered as she opened the envelope.
