Chapter 87
"What are you laughing at?" Samantha inquired, giggling nervously.
"Your T-shirt! Sam, have you EVER been a bitch in your life?" He asked tossing the shirt to the floor.
Samantha bit her lip and cast her eyes downward. "I would be lying if I said no." She lifted her head and caught his gaze. "I'm not perfect Howard. I am a green eyed, Irish red head after all." She replied arching her eyebrows and tossing him a half smile.
Howie laughed. He kissed her lightly. "As far as I'm concerned, you are 100% angel!"
"Thank you. It is very sweet of you to say that. You may change your mind after this weekend though. My father tends to bring out the worst in me sometimes."
"Sam…sweetheart." Howie tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "Please don't be offend by what I am about to say OK?" Samantha nodded before he continued. "Sam, something tells me your father could bring out the worst in even a saint!" Samantha laughed. "At first, he scared me. I mean he is a HUGE man! After his dinner conversation though." He shook his head. "I just wanted to tell him to leave you alone! My God Samantha! Has he always been so hard on you?"
Samantha looked into Howie's eyes. 'I don't want to get into this right now.' She thought. She leaned in and captured Howie's gorgeous, full lips with her own in a brief kiss. "Howard," she said, her lips never really leaving his. "We can talk about my father later. Right now, the only 'hard' topic I want to deal with…" She grinned at him. "Is poking me in the back."
"Oh really? So what do you think we should do about that?" Howie asked playfully as he wiggled his eyebrows at her.
