OK...so they probably give the same speech in every city they go to. Alex said we were the most beautiful audience he had seen in a LOOOOONNNNG time! =-)

I am going to take a different approach to this review. By now, everyone knows the songs the guys perform and that they fly out on surfboards and "fly through the air with the greatest of ease..." (sorry I just had to throw that in...) an' stuff like that, so I am just going to tell you what really stuck out in my mind about the show. I may add to this later but right now I am working on 6 hours sleep in the past 72 hours so my brain (I typed Brian and corrected it if that tells you my state of mind) is not fully functional. Here we go! First let me say that seeing the guys live was worth every effort it took for me to get to the show. From wondering if I was even going to get tickets at all, to driving 3 hours to get there and BLOWING A TIRE along the way-only to find out there was NO JACK in the frickin' Jeep AND that even if a state patrolman HAS a jack he isn't ALLOWED TO LET YOU USE IT, to the 6' girl who almost lost her ponytail for blocking my view (she moved...(o:) and arriving home at 3:30 am to be at work at 7:30 am-I would not have missed this experience for the world!

The map Piper was given had us 39 rows back on the floor. They must have changed the seating plan because we were actually off to the side of the stage, up off the floor about 19 rows. The seats were PERFECT! If we had been on the ground, 1). I wouldn't have been able to see as well as I did and 2). SEVERAL little girls would have wound up with signs wrapped around their necks! We had a video screen right in front of us (talk about LTL!). With our binoculars we were so close we could tell Kevin had stubble on his face!

I thought people who said the guys were better looking in person than in pictures, had to be exaggerating...HOLY COW! I have NEVER seen 5 more beautiful men than Howard, Kevin, Alex, Brian & Nick! And their sound??? I thought the acoustics were going to be awful after I heard Mandy Moore (nice voice but a 15 year old should NOT be wearing what she was last night!!!) and EYC (they are ADORABLE and they had good voices-at one point Dave said something about the BSB "are not even dressed right now!" Piper and I looked at each other went "They don't have to dress for us!!!" ) but when the band started to play and then the guys flew in singing-WOW! The guys sounded magnificent! Their voices blended so well, yet I could hear each guy's part individually when it was called for. Backstreet Boys are definitely the tightest harmonizing group I have ever heard in concert! There were no sour notes, they were right on! It was a bone chilling experience that literally gave Piper and I goosebumps!

Alex has once again shaved his head. Alex also has been working out! GOOD LORDY! The man actually has a 6 pack now! He was ripped last night-and proud to show it off too! I think he and Kevin need to come out with a workout tape using the ladders. I am not saying I would workout with them...I just want to watch them use their abs to lower themselves down and pull themselves up...and repeat the proccess-which they did SEVERAL times! Great workout for developing those 6 packs!!! He has quite a way with stuffed animals too...let's just say whoever caught the bear he 'bumped' into the audience...has a memento to treasure for a different reason... ;o)

Brian...I have always like Brian but I have never thought of him the way I do now...Not only does he have an incredible voice that makes your blood pump faster, he has a wonderful stage presence! He played basketball, he clowned with the audience, he clowned with Nick, he teased Howard about his rap. I am still bringing little bits and pieces of Brian up from my memory. My absolute favorite Brian part was during Back To Your Heart . He was sitting on the ground, his legs stretched out in front of him, crossed at the ankles, leaning back against the riser. He looked like any guy relaxing, watching TV with his friends. So natural looking! I just wanted to curl up next to him and rest my head on his chest and listen to his heart beat and him breathe while he sang. He took my breath away for a few minutes. I definitely look at Brian in a different way now. Oh and BTW-Brian in pajamas is a little too much for my blood...*mutters* " Brian in pajamas...don't go there Kendra..."

My Howard put on a great show despite the fact I don't think he was feeling well. No amount of mental preparation could have prepared me for what I felt when I heard Howard for the first time live. I am sure Piper is thankful she was wearing a thick shirt because I KNOW I sunk my nails into her a few times! His voice melted me like butter! I came away from the concert with very mixed emotions and a greater admiration of Howard than I entered the dome with. (You are wondering if that is possible right??) Seeing him live, hearing his voice was one of the most intensive experiences of my life and yet I was so sad at the same time. Why? Call it a vibe I guess. Like I said, he sounded fantastic and he looked-as Piper's friend Dean would say (and he has about Kevin...)"I could just eat him up with a spoon!" but he also looked really sad and he had this far away look in his eyes. He had his hair barely pulled back into a ponytail and all of his curls were showing (YEE HAAA!...Amazing what you can see with binoculars!) He had dark circles under his eyes and they were a little puffy-almost like he had been crying. Could be lack of sleep but I just don't think he felt well. He didn't hang upside down from his ladder like I had seen him do prior to the show, he just sort of sat on top of it! VERY CUTE though! When he flew he did awesome somersaults! I could tell he and Kevin really love to fly!!! When he danced, he put his heart (and his body OMG HIS BODY!) into it and he really shined. When he sang or talked to the audience, he exuded confidence and personality and boy was he sexy! When he wasn't spotlighted though, like in Back To Your Heart and after he sang in Spanish Eyes (which I nearly died during!!!) he looked at the ground, very pensive at times. His eyes were kinda clouded over. While I wanted to cuddle up to Brian during Back To Your Heart, I wanted to to just hug Howard and tell him everything was going to be OK. It was weird! I absolutely lost it during I think it was Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely, where he was dancing with the female dancer-doing a little bump and grind and making me wish I was her-and she pushed him away...he went flying so far he hit another dancer and nearly fell down! I think maybe she pushed just a little too hard or he wasn't paying attention. His rap...LOL! I loved it!!! I can't say he has a future as a rapper but in that sweatshirt with the hood pulled up over his hair...He was so adorable!!! When he pulled the sweatshirt off though...GOOD LORDY!!! WIFEBEATER!!! Piper and I shrieked when he came on stage wearing that and those pajama bottoms. (I REALLY like those pajama bottoms...)

On to Kevin-Can you say SEXIEST MAN ALIVE???? I don't think he should just be in PEOPLE I think he should be on the cover! Kevin sounded as great as he looked but I think DWYB and PF are cursed songs for him...His ear piece came unhooked when he was hanging upside down and he couldn't get back in! He tried to get the daughter to help him during PF but she was so stunned to be on stage, she didn't understand what he was saying! He was about to stand up when he noticed his pants had come untied! Sorry ladies they didn't fall off this time but it was interesting to watch him try to hold the microphone and tie them back up....Back To Your Heart ...OMG!OMG! Kevin up above the stage, playing the piano...a gift from heaven! OMG! I think Kevin and Howard enjoy flying the most! He was turning summersaults frontward and backward! He cheered for himself as he spun! I mean he would spin and then extend his arms over his head with his fists clinched then go the opposite way! HE WAS RIGHT IN FRONT OF US!!!! OMG! I thought Piper was going to hyperventilate and pass out on me! Kevin had the same problem Nick has been experiencing during Spanish Eyes. It was hilarious (and eye opening)! He was sitting there on his stool and the stage was rotating. Piper grabbed my arm and was like "HOLY SH*T did you see Kevin???" I was like "Yeah, yeah Piper I am watching Howard..." She goes "LOOK at Kevin when he comes back around!" So I aim my binoculars and I nearly dropped them when I saw Kevin's...state of being...GOOD LORDY!!!

Last but not least-Nick! OK...I will admit I thought Nick was getting a little chubby (no pun intended) HOWEVER Last night changed my mind! I know there are those of you who still think Nick is a little hefty but I am not one of you! He is not skinny and scrawny like he used to be and he does need to tone a little but he is not fat! PHAT maybe but not fat! Poor Nick seems to have a continuing problem that began in Anaheim and was very evident in Tacoma as well! Maybe I shouldn't say poor Nick??? ;o) He isn't a little boy anymore! I have a new feeling about Nick after seeing him live as well. He really knows how to play the crowd and make the little girls (OK big girls too) squeal! He was all over the stage. I have never see someone with so much energy before! He had Piper & I cracking up during the dance off. He started sing "Everybody was Kung Fu fighting..." We were the only ones in our section who knew what he was singing! It was hilarious!! I must say Nick sounded better than I have heard him sound in a long time. Someone needs to tell him the title of their album though...He called "THE MILLENNIUM" several times!

As you can tell, I really had a great time. The one thing I didn't like was the PERFECT FAN. The guys sounded great and the concept is a good idea but whoever choose the girls last night needs to be told NOT to choose girls like the ones last night! I don't want this to sound catty or disrespectful, so if it does then I am sorry. Remember it is just my opinion and not necessarily the one shared by the BSB or their management. What was the problem? Well, I think if they are going to bring Moms and Daughters on stage they should put a height or an age limit on who they bring up. Nick's little girl was about 12 and was really cute the way she never let her eyes leave him. She was an excellent choice. Brian and Howard's girls were at least 17 and I am sorry but they were so well developed that when Howard and Brian paraded them around the stage-they were hidden behind their boobs! I am serious! All you could see were the girls! You couldn't see Howard and Brian! Kevin and Alex's girls were about 16. They were OK choices but I think little girls would be better. Actually I think it would be better if the MOTHERS were paraded around the stage and the daughters stayed seated. Again, just my opinion. I think it would go better with the concept of the song though.

There is my review. The biggest surprise of the night didn't come from the BSB but from the people sitting to our left and down about 2 rows...HUSBANDS AND WIVES WITH NO CHILDREN!!! HUSBANDS!!! HOLY COW!
